ABOUT SMARANDA & CAROLINA

Two perspectives, one vision.

The Twin Edit was founded by Carolina Carpaneda and Smaranda Radicati di Brozolo, bringing together two complementary perspectives shaped by international experience and a shared passion for thoughtful interior design.

Following a Master’s degree at the London School of Economics, Smaranda went on to specialise in interior design — a long-standing passion. She founded Atelier Rad in 2016, after working at two acclaimed design studios in London where she led residential projects from concept through to completion. Through Atelier Rad, projects have been delivered across Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom, developing an approach that balances careful attention to architectural context with a refined use of materials, colour and craftsmanship.

Carolina, an architecture graduate of the Politecnico di Milano, developed her career internationally, working with leading studios in Singapore, Paris and Dubai. Her architectural training and global experience bring a strong spatial sensitivity and refined design perspective to each project. Drawing on both Italian design heritage and contemporary international influences, she approaches interiors with creativity and precision, combining a love of colour, modernist furniture and layered materials to create spaces that feel distinctive, balanced and deeply personal.

Together, Carolina and Smaranda founded The Twin Edit to combine their complementary backgrounds and creative dialogue, creating interiors that are elegant, personal and deeply connected to their context.

Every project at The Twin Edit begins with a careful reading of place: its architecture, history and context, alongside a deep understanding of the client’s way of living.

Our approach combines thoughtful design with meticulous attention to detail. From the selection of authentic materials to the integration of artisanal craftsmanship, bespoke joinery and contemporary pieces, every element is considered as part of a coherent whole. A refined sensitivity to colour and the layering of textures and styles allow each project to develop its own distinctive character.

Working closely with our clients throughout the process, we collaborate with a trusted network of artisans, builders and specialist suppliers to bring each design to life. Whether the project involves a full architectural renovation or a complete interior design scheme, our aim is always to create spaces that balance beauty, functionality and longevity.

Rather than following fleeting trends, The Twin Edit focuses on interiors that feel timeless and personal — spaces that reflect the identity of those who inhabit them and that evolve naturally over time.
